Beaujolais Day 2024 raises over a staggering £100k for 2 incredible charities
This year’s Beaujolais Day at Cornerstone was another truly unforgettable occasion, filled with wonderful food, great company, and a phenomenal result for two very deserving charities.
Partnering with The Brogue Trader for the ninth year running, we hosted 'The Brogue Does Beaujolais' at our beautiful Grade II-listed venue, Cornerstone.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our guests and local businesses, the event raised over £50,000 on the day, and with match funding, this total was doubled to an astounding £100,000. Every penny is going directly to support City Hospice and the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales.

A day full of food, fun & fundraising
Beaujolais Day is always a highlight of our year, and 2024 was no exception. Welcoming more than 160 guests, we treated everyone to a delicious three-course meal accompanied by the first taste of this year’s Beaujolais Nouveau.
The auctions, both live and silent, were a key part of the fundraising effort and had everyone bidding enthusiastically for some truly special prizes. Entertainment came courtesy of 80s legend Bobby Davro, who had the room roaring with laughter, followed by live music from Shelley Anne and her band, who kept the dancefloor packed until late.
This incredible result wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of local businesses, including Harlequin Print, Specsavers, Castell Howell Foods, Molson Coors and more, who covered all the event’s expenses to ensure every penny raised could go directly to the charities.
Supporting local families who need it most
Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales
Funds raised during this year’s event are helping Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital continue their essential work supporting families during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Through last year’s fundraising efforts, the charity launched a new emotional support service. This has already made a life-changing difference, with a ward counsellor and music therapist providing comfort and care to more than 213 families over the past year. Thanks to this new service, families facing unimaginable challenges now have a helping hand when they need it most.
City Hospice
City Hospice provides compassionate care for over 1,700 patients and their families each year, bringing comfort and support during the most difficult times.
This year’s fundraising has helped the hospice expand their services to include a paramedic team, providing rapid response care to patients at home. Whether managing symptoms or simply providing reassurance, this vital service allows more families to remain together at home, surrounded by the people and memories they cherish.

Thank you for making it possible
At Spiros, we are honoured to host Beaujolais Day each year and to see how the event grows in generosity and impact. This year’s incredible milestone of raising over £100,000 simply wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our guests, sponsors, and partners.
To everyone who attended, donated, or contributed in any way - thank you! Your generosity continues to change lives and provide hope for families in our community. We are already looking forward to next year and hope you’ll join us again for another spectacular celebration. Cheers!
