Founded in 1983, Spiros has grown from a family-run catering business into one of South Wales’ most trusted names in weddings, events and hospitality.

Our story

With Greek roots and a Cardiff heart, our passion for food and service runs through everything we do. For more than four decades we’ve been creating events that bring people together - from intimate family gatherings to large-scale sporting hospitality. Today, we have a team of chefs and well trained staff that combine restaurant-quality dining with seamless organisation, giving every guest a memorable experience.

We’re proud to run our own venue, Cornerstone in Cardiff, and to partner with Pencoed House Estate and Dyffryn Springs. These spaces, along with countless other venues across South Wales, allow us to deliver events that are as unique as our clients.

Supporting our community

As a South Wales business, we believe in supporting the community we work within. We proudly support City Hospice, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales, and Maggie’s Cardiff through fundraising and event initiatives, helping raise vital funds for causes that matter locally.

  • Spiro Borg - Founder, Director & Chef

    Still at the helm after 40 years, Spiro is passionate about developing people and creating unforgettable dining experiences.

  • Lisa Borg - Director

    Focused on standards, growth and staying ahead of trends, Lisa ensures the business is always moving forward.

  • Karl Jones - Operations Manager

    Karl manages the day-to-day operations of Spiros and keeps things running smoothly - he’s the key to the Spiros mark of excellence!

  • Jon - Head Chef

    Jon has been with Spiros for several years now and has vast experience in the food industry. He has developed the ‘Spiros Ethos’ for great quality food and service based on our clients’ individual needs.

  • Paul - Sous Chef

    Paul has joined the team after working in high class establishments in London for the past 10 years and is Jon’s right hand man.

  • Callum - Events Manager

    Callum has been a part of the team now for several years, having worked his way up from a cheeky casual waiter to now being an integral part of Spiros’ management team.

    You’ll see Callum’s infectious smile whenever he’s around and he really does bring ‘service with a smile’ to Spiros.

  • Jacob - Front of House

    Jacob has joined the team as our apprentice events manager, and has added his own flare and charm to our events - we are sure you will love him as much as we do!
