Summers are for sunshine, refreshing drinks and music in the sun – that’s why we’ve got a line-up of live music coming to Cornerstone!
The summer is here and it’s time to face the music at Cornerstone, with a series of live music events. Right in the heart of Cardiff’s city centre, we’ll be hosting a variety of different musical events; from show-stopping singing to wonderful Welsh music.
Cornerstone, a Grade II listed building and a former chapel, is the perfect setting for an evening of songs. Not only is the architecture beautiful, but the Great Hall’s high ceilings and stained glass windows provide great acoustics and a stunning surrounding.
Here’s a round-up of our summer of music events for you to enjoy, but if you want to see what else we have planned you can see our full list of events on our events page.

City Sirens Sing Songs from Wales – Sat 14th July
Wales isn’t known as the ‘land of song’ for nothing, and Cardiff’s very own City Sirens are celebrating that with a concert full of music from across the country.
The City Sirens, an all female a cappella group – a real life Pitch Perfect – have a set list that includes Calon Lan, Dacw ‘Nghariad, Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau and many more. They’ll also be performing Karl Jenkins’ Adiemus: Songs of Sanctuary.
Tickets are £10, £8 concession or £6 for children.
Movies & Musicals – Sun 14th July
From Harry Potter to Moon River – movies and musicals are often defined by their memorable scores.
The Cardiff Charity Orchestra will be bringing Movies & Musicals to the stage at Cornerstone, to raise money for the Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales.
The orchestra is made up of talented musicians from across the city, including members from the National Youth Orchestra of Wales and Royal Welsh College of Music.
Tickets for this fundraising event are £15 or £5 for children.
