As a sporting legend and one of the rugby greats, we were honoured to cater for part of Gethin Jenkins’ Testimonial Year.
Inside the Cardiff Arms Park on 9th February 2017, we gathered to celebrate one of the biggest stars of rugby.
The Gethin Jenkins Testimonial Dinner was a fantastic way to celebrate the beginning of the Six Nations. The event was held in conjunction with #StayStrongForOws and NSPCC Cymru, two brilliant Welsh causes.
The night was hosted by John Inverdale, with Gethin Jenkins, England coach Eddie Jones, former Welsh captain Rob Howley and members of the Welsh squad, with a Q&A session on stage for a sneak peek behind the scenes of the rugby so far.
Thankfully, coming just one week after HRH Prince Charles mistook Gethin for our catering manager, this time the whole room definitely knew who Gethin was!
Mistaken identity from HRH Prince of Wales @CornerstoneCdf. Pleasure to support @gethinjenkins1 in his Testimonial Year #GJTestimonial pic.twitter.com/KkaztkbW3t

Following a champagne reception, we catered a three course meal for the guests. We started with duck terrine with seasonal greens and homemade bread, followed by a main course of fillet of beef, fondant potato, and a selection of veg and port jus. For dessert, pear and almond tart with a whisky custard – yum!
All in all, the evening was a great way to celebrate Gethin and re-spark the rivalry ahead of tomorrow’s Wales V England match…
Take a look through the whole night, with behind the scenes photos pre-event and shots from during the fun!
