We raised money for charity using authentic Greek food, a live Greek band, Greek dancing and – of course – Stavros Flatley.
Here at Spiros we know a thing or two about throwing a Greek-themed party, so last week we teamed up with Velindre Cancer Centre to run their Greek Night Fundraiser event: ‘My Big Fat Greek Fundraiser’.
Taking place in Cottrell Park (one of our partner venues) the night included our authentic Greek food, music from Greek band Orpheus and entertainment from Britain’s Got Talent stars Stavros Flatley.
The evening was also hosted by rugby legend, and President of Velindre Fundraising, Jonathan Davies.

The menu we served to Velindre’s guests included a mezedes style starter, a delicious kleftiko (a slowly cooked and succulent traditional lamb dish) and a refreshing pistachio & honey cheesecake with watermelon.
As well as serving up a tasty Greek menu we also donated an auction prize of a private dining experience for 8 at Cornerstone. The gift raised an amazing £4,000 adding to the £38,000 grand total for the night.
Worried you missed out on all the Greek themed fun? Fear not! We regularly run Spiros Greek Nights – just keep an eye on our events page or subscribe to our newsletter below to get news straight to your inbox.
